Cancer Survivors Powwow

Rene Rodriguez, Cynthia Tome along with Eva, Rosalee, and Michael attended this powwow to support those who had survived cancer.  This powwow was held in the Lawton Civic Center in Lawton, OK.  During the powwow, Rene sang on the drum with such lead singers as Keith Lookingglass, and Robert Tehauno.  Eva, Rosalee, and Michael danced during the Gourd dance as well as the intertribal dance.  This powwow was very enjoyable and we all hope to attend next year.

Little Ponies Benefit Powwow

Rene Rodriguez and Michael supported this powwow by singing on the center drum.  They help lead out the Gourd session as well as the Intertribal portion.  Michael learned how sometimes people will not back you when you need them too, but someone else will be there to take you place.  He also learned not to take things to heart and how others will laugh off your mistakes.  It was an exciting day helping the lead singer Robert Tahauno.

Cynthia Tome, Rene Rodriguez, Reggie Jackson, Eva, Rosalee, and Michael went to this powwow.  Eva made a great impression as the princess of the Goldeneagle Assoc. and Crew1298.  She was even invited to attend the Comanche Fair Powwow on September 29, 2007. 

Traders Village, Grand Prairie, TX

Rene Rodriguez, Cynthia Tome, John Sanders, Sylvia Rodriguez, CJ, Reggie, Michael, Johnny, Eva, Rosalee, Kevin, Broody attended this powwow.  Michael placed fourth in Straight dancing.  Beside the quick spell of rain of Sunday, the powwow was very enjoyable.  We are anticipating the Traders Village powwow coming up in November 10, 2007 in Houston, TX.
