It’s that time of the year again. Planning has already been underway for our 2012 Highland Night Out/Highland Ball.

The date has been decided upon, and is set for Saturday March 17th.

We will be holding the event at Camp Wisdom.

Ticket prices are 20.00 in advance and 25.00 at the door.

Early registration will cut off on March 11th, Please put your RSVP in by this date on the event page.

Dinner this year will be Lasagna and the theme will be St. Patrick’s Day.

The page for the Highland Night Out will be updated with any new information as it becomes available.

Scout Show Wrap-up

I want to thank everyone that was able to come out for the great job they did with the setup and tear down. We were one of the 1^st groups in, and the 1^st or 2^nd group out at tear down time. This was the best year as the wagon was ½ way home to Corsicana at 3:45 and by that time I was unloaded at Camp Wisdom and on my way home. Much different from the years before where it was starting to get dark before we were started home.

We had lots of traffic though out the day with lots of questions and oos and ahh’s .

Let’s get ready for a good meeting June the 12^th at Camp Wisdom with some blacksmithing in the morning and maybe a lunch as it looks as we will have some visitors.

Scout Show – May 8th

Setup the chuck wagon (no Canvas), setup display tables with blacksmithing items & foundry items, setup display table with highland books and stuff.

We will be talking taking questions and promoting the programs, and recruiting.

Anyone who can come out even for a little bit will be great, especially around setup and tear down time.

Scout show runs from 10:00 am till 3:00 pm, We can start setting up at 7:00 AM.

We are working out the exact time that we will meet and were we will meet at this time.

If what I am saying is different from the meeting please let me know as I was not able to be there, and this is from the discussions I have had lately with a few people.

We also need to get a roll call of who will be at scout show and what time you can come out and help a little.

Please let us know via the yahoo group, if you are not on the group, please sign up, or use the contact us form to the left.

I know some have finals on Sat., (why they would do this I have no clue), just so we can see who all can come help.

I would like to thank everyone for coming out, I think we all had a great time.

Venturing Crew 1298 would like to invite you to attend a Highland Night Out at Camp Wisdom Circle 10 Council Dallas Texas March the 20th 2009.

This year we will be celebrating Scottish New years.

The evening will begin with presentation of the Haggis and then dinner.
We will follow dinner with a dance for all ages.
The cost for the evening is 20.00 in advance or 25 at the door.

We will eat dinner at 6:00 pm.

At this time I can tell you with 99.9% confidence that the Highland Ball will be held at Camp Wisdom on March the 20th. We are awaiting the outcome of one more meeting before sending it to the masses, however we are pretty well set at this time.

Christmas is Friday the 25, Dec And assuming you survive finals, food fun ,fellowship ect.
Lets plan on meeting at wisdom on Sunday the 27th,
Set up camp & programs with a meal Sunday evening.

I’ll bring Chuck Wagon & Cooking Gear
We have two Large Tents at camp to set up that sleet 4 to 6 ea & I have another large tent sleeps 4 to 6
We will need a ring out of all who intend to come & what kind of activities you want to do.

Some suggestions would be:
Work on the Blacksmith Shop, Assist Tony with repairs to Camp Wisdom, ??????.
It wont be all work, but we should try to do some service & finish up some Venturing Requirements or Merit badge work.
We can plan a menu when we all gather on Sunday, divide up the duties for each meal and so on.
This will be your camp so lets see some planing & talk about what you want to do.
The Trailer will be Limited to Two Adults & we will see about the health Lodge avaibility?
Lets advertise a little & grow a bit from last year, & Have some Fun
Need a indication of who all intends to join us on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & All go home Wednesday For New Years.

It’s that time of the year again. Planning has already been underway for our 2010 Highland Night Out/Highland Ball, more details will start flowing soon.

We are still looking for someone(youth) to be in charge all the decorations and such.

The date has been decided upon, and is set for March 20th at this time.

We cannot confirm the location until after January 1st, 2010, so sorry I cannot tell you until it comes out officially, but for those who have attended in the past we are hoping to hold it in the same location.

At this time the ticket prices are 20.00 in advance and 25.00 at the door.
Early registration will cut off on March 1st 2010, all payment must be post marked by this date.

We will have a reservation form on the website soon for you to start putting in reservations so that we can get the head count for our caterer.

Dinner this year will be roast beef and the them will be Scottish New Year.
